The city of ancient Corinth was much like our modern-day cities ― a melting pot of cultural experiences, along with the many pitfalls of spiritual depravity. Still, Paul wrote to the church of God in Corinth, showing us that God’s church is meant to thrive in any city and any circumstance. Paul’s letter is as timely as ever.

This study will lead us through 2 Corinthians, exploring the truths of bearing treasures in jars of clay, meeting Christ through a pressing thorn, opening our hearts in the midst of hurtful relationships, and embracing the lost.

As Christians, we are not promised lives of ease. Often it takes just a small moment of beauty to regain hope and continue on when life is chaotic and unpredictable. Only when we learn to spot the lovely in the midst of hardship can we experience the transcendent peace of God that keeps us persevering when we want to give up.

In this seven-week study, Annie F. Downs examines the ordinary people of the Bible ― fishermen, farmers, musicians, women ― to discover how they sought beauty in their everyday lives to hold on to the hope of God’s perfect timing.

Journey with Paul

Long-term Group (18 months)
Tuesdays | 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Join us as we take a look at the Apostle Paul. Through various Bible teachers, such as Beth Moore, Karen Ehman, and Tony Merida, we will look at Paul’s life and discuss applications for today. Included are specific studies of four of his Epistles: 1 & 2 Thessalonians, Ephesians, and Philippians. We will study what Paul meant when he said, “For me to live is Christ.”

This group will meet at FAC on Tuesday evenings. The cost of $40.00 is for the first study. Three additional purchases will be required during the 18 months.
