For even as we have many members in one body, and all the members don’t have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.
(Romans 12:4-5)

Sarah Fires

Sarah Fires attended Fellowship Alliance Chapel since she was five years old. She graduated from Stockton University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and The Ohio State University with a Master in Occupational Therapy.

In April of 2022, Sarah began working at Fellowship as the Early Childhood Coordinator, providing oversight, direction, and management of all early childhood programs. She hopes to equip a generation passionate about pursuing truth and following God’s call for their lives. “We will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, his power, and the wonders he has done” (Psalm 78:4). In addition, Sarah hopes to provide children and families with teaching, experiences, and resources to build their faith and further their walk with God while connecting and deepening relationships within the church family.

Sarah is excited to hear, see, and love each child intentionally to build a relationship that shows them who Jesus is and teaches them the Word of God. She is passionate about partnering and equipping families to live bold, gospel-centered, kingdom-focused lives.

Sarah has been married to her husband Chad for 14 years. Their son, Jaxson, will be ten this spring and their daughter, Jordyn, just turned five. She is fascinated by the art of storytelling, and some of her favorite possessions are books! Enjoying a good book with a cup of joe is one of her beloved pastimes.

Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” The world tells us we are “capable” of figuring it out, and we should “follow our heart,” but freedom and peace come from trusting God wholly and entirely and not relying on ourselves. I involve God in all my decisions so that he can direct my steps. It reminds me to surrender to the Lord and trust that his heart and plans are good.
