Reaching Spanish Speakers in Germany

We support the ministry of José and Melanie Chinchilla who began a multi-cultural church planting movement in Berlin, Germany, beginning with Spanish Speakers. Over the past few years, the Spanish economy has sent Spanish speakers, from Spain and those who had relocated to Spain from Latin American countries to Germany to find work and more stability. There are an estimated 30,000 Spanish Speakers in Berlin alone.

In January 2017 José and Melanie began a Spanish-speaking church plant, Vida Abundante of the MAKD (German CMA), which is now ministering to people from Spain, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Colombia, Bolivia, Paraguay, Argentina, Chile, Honduras, and El Salvador as well as Brazil, Portugal, and Angola (who speak Portuguese, German, and English).

It is José and Melanie’s desire to see those who God has relocated to Berlin to come to faith in Jesus Christ. In the next few years, they would love to plant several more churches and also established a church-based seminary in coordination with the German National CMA Church (ABI—Alliance Bible Institute) for the purpose of training and raising up national leadership.

José and Melanie, along with their children, speak Spanish, English, and German.
